Many clients complete a Will and then fail to revisit it for years; it’s concerning that some never do. A Will is not a static document that once signed can be forgotten. It's not difficult, or necessarily expensive, to change a Will as it can be amended, modified, updated or even completely revoked, at any time. For changes that do not require major strategic amendments a Will can often be varied by a comparatively short supplementary document called a “codicil”.

We recommend reviewing a person’s estate plan, including their Will, every 2-3 years, and whenever there are major changes to succession or tax laws or there are major life events such as marriage, divorce, property purchase or sale, birth, death or material inheritance.    

We will review the client's existing estate planning documentation, and if the documents adequately meet the client's current estate planning requirements, we will acknowledge this. If the documentation does not mee the client's requirements, we will explain what needs to change, and provide a quote to supply what is required.

Note: These fees are for the review of the client’s position and advice as to the manner in which their estate planning can be improved. We will provide a quote for that work if you accept our advice is accepted. These fees do not include the prepararion of an the new Estate Plan, a new Will or any other testamentary documents.
